The usage, storage conditions, and shelf life of double-sided adhesive are essential information for both users and warehouse staff. Due to the chemical properties of the adhesive in double-sided tape, there is a certain shelf life.
If the amount of double-sided tape a user requires is not substantial, we generally advise our clients not to purchase large quantities at once and to use it promptly. The safe usage period for double-sided tape is six months, meaning we do not recommend exceeding half a year from the time of production to the user's application. Additionally, the shelf life of different types of double-sided tape can vary. The double-sided tape we mentioned above typically refers to standard hot-melt tape.
Additionally, it is recommended that customers store the double-sided tape in a room-temperature, well-ventilated environment. As standard double-sided tape is sensitive to temperature conditions, both high and low temperatures can affect its adhesiveness. Moreover, avoid placing the double-sided tape directly in the open air, as the adhesive may easily evaporate due to external influences. At the same time, we advise all customers not to apply excessive pressure to the double-sided tape, as this may impair its normal use.
