The principle of the mold laser welding machine is to utilize high-energy laser pulses to locally heat a small area of the material. The energy of the laser radiation diffuses into the material's interior through heat conduction, melting the material to form a specific molten pool. It is a new type of welding method, primarily for thin-walled materials and precision parts, and can achieve spot welding, butt welding, overlay welding, and sealing welding, with high depth-to-width ratios, narrow weld widths, minimal heat-affected areas, and minimal deformation. The welding speed is fast, the welds are smooth and aesthetically pleasing, and post-welding treatment is unnecessary or only requires simple handling. The weld quality is high, with no pores, a small focal spot, high positioning accuracy, and ease of automation. Large-power laser welding machines have already been introduced, which can achieve various types of laser welding and repair for thicker materials.

The mold laser re-welding machine features small weld spot diameter, minimal heat affected area, and maintains the mold's original shape and color after re-welding, without any pores or sink marks. Post-weld, it can be machined to achieve a smooth, shiny surface, making it particularly suitable for mold repairs that require polishing.
