Fault Repair Editor Opens Path to Fault: Resistance between two pins is infinite, manifesting as silence in the circuit with no sound emanating from the speaker.

Paper Bowl Breakage Issue: This fault can be directly identified, and the speakers involved need to be replaced.

Poor sound quality fault: This is a soft fault of the speaker, usually without any obvious fault characteristics, just unpleasant sound. Such faulty speakers also require replacement.

Under amateur conditions, the testing of speakers can only be conducted using the listening check method and multimeter testing method.

The listening check method involves connecting a speaker to the output of a power amplifier and subjectively evaluating its sound quality by listening.

Testing speakers with a multimeter is a rough method. Measure the DC resistance: use the R*1 setting to measure the DC resistance between the two terminals of the speaker. Normally, it should be slightly less than the impedance marked on the speaker. For example, the resistance of an 8-ohm speaker should be around 7 ohms. If the resistance is measured as infinite or far greater than the rated impedance, it indicates that the speaker is damaged.

Listen for a crackling sound: When measuring DC resistance, if you disconnect one probe from the lead intermittently, you should hear a crackling sound from the speaker. The louder the sound, the better. The absence of this sound indicates that the speaker's voice coil is stuck.

Visual Inspection: Check for any signs of破裂 in the speaker's diaphragm.

Check Magnetism: Test the magnetism of the magnet with a screwdriver; the stronger the magnetism, the better.
