Due to the high yield strength of high-strength manganese steel plates, more energy is required to deform them compared to ordinary sheets, with much of this energy being the result of collisions between the sheet and the mold. Consequently, as the deformation temperature of the metal in the stamping mold fluctuates, oil-based smooth oil becomes thinner, sometimes reaching its flash point or igniting, leading to the failure of the smooth coating. As temperatures rise, a tough protective barrier forms on the mold and sheet surfaces, reducing friction and temperature, aiding in the better extension of the workpiece, controlling friction and metal movement; at the same time, the metal avoids overheating, discoloration, cracking, and sticking.
High manganese steel plates exhibit poor heat dissipation due to the temperature generated during the stamping process and the high thermal capacity of oil. In contrast, IRMCO's water-based smoothing agent dissipates heat by forming steam at temperature, which not only reduces the temperature and maintains the mold but also controls the micro-welding wear caused by temperature.
High-strength manganese steel stamping molds can meet consumer demands, extend mold life, and eliminate the need for expensive coatings. High performance and smoothness ensure greater stability in workpiece quality. Mold clearance and mold geometric design are crucial for achieving precise workpiece dimensions. Therefore, this directly relates to the technical requirements for metal materials and lubricants.
The smaller the gap, the tighter it is, the greater the friction, and the higher the requirements for the lubricant. High-strength wear-resistant steel is developed on the basis of low-alloy high-strength weldable steel, with excellent wear resistance and a service life that can reach several times that of traditional manganese steel plates. The production process is relatively simple. Generally, the method of direct quenching and tempering after rolling or controlled rolling and controlled cooling process is used to stop the strengthening.
