Daily maintenance of sewage submersible pumps is an effective way to extend the lifespan of the equipment. As sewage submersible pumps are widely used in municipal engineering, industry, construction, hotels, and water conservancy projects, there is a growing emphasis on the regular maintenance of these devices. Today, we share some common knowledge about the daily maintenance of sewage submersible pumps.
1. Seal Ring Replacement: After long-term use in wastewater, the gap between the impeller and the seal ring may increase, leading to reduced flow rate and efficiency of the pump. It is necessary to turn off the power switch of the submerged axial flow pump, lift the pump, remove the bottom cover, remove the seal ring, and fit a new seal ring according to the actual size of the impeller mouth ring. The gap is generally around 0.5mm.
2. When the sewage submersible pump is not in use for an extended period, it should be cleaned and hung in a well-ventilated and dry location, ensuring it is frost-free. If submerged in water, it should be operated for at least 30 minutes every 15 days (no dry running) to check its functionality and adaptability.
Cables should be inspected at least once a year, and replacements should be provided if any damage is found.
4. Inspect the motor insulation and tighten screws at least once a year. If the motor insulation is degraded, seek professional repair. If the screws are loose, retighten them.
5. Sewage submersible pumps are pre-filled with the appropriate amount of oil before shipment to lubricate the mechanical seal. This oil should be inspected annually. If water is detected in the submersible axial flow pump's oil, it should be drained, replaced with new oil, and the gasket replaced. The bolt should be tightened. After three weeks, a re-inspection is required. If the oil has turned into an emulsion, the mechanical seal should be inspected and, if necessary, replaced.
6. In the event of a malfunction in the sewage submersible pump operation, please follow the provided troubleshooting methods. If the issue persists and the cause cannot be determined, do not attempt to disassemble or repair it私自乱拆乱修. Instead, immediately seek professional repair services.
