Precision stretched parts are formed by stamping into the desired shape. The deep drawing process can be used to manufacture thin-walled components with irregular shapes such as cylindrical, stepped, conical, spherical, and box-shaped. Other stamping processes, such as flanging, bulging, expanding, and reducing, can also be employed to create highly complex shapes. To extend the service life of the workpieces, the following measures can be taken.
Thoroughly inspect precision stretched parts for dirt prior to use, and ensure that the guide sleeves and molds in the stretching section are well-lubricated.
Inspect the turntable and mold mounting base of the timing punching machine, as well as the coaxial accuracy of the upper and lower turntables. According to the mold installation procedure, mount the male and female molds onto the turntable. Ensure that the orientation of the male and female stretching sections is consistent, especially for sections with specific orientation requirements (non-circular, non-square), and carefully check to confirm their correctness (not reversed or inverted).
When the cutting edges of the punch and die in precision stretching parts wear, they should be replaced promptly to prevent increased wear on the die cutting edges and dies, which can degrade part quality and reduce die lifespan. Press operators can use soft metals (such as copper, aluminum) to fabricate tooling for installing molds, which helps prevent damage or breakage to the parts during the installation process.
