Laser engraving machines are widely used across various industries, capable of marking logos, parameters, QR codes, serial numbers, patterns, and text on metals and most non-metallic materials. Additionally, they can also engrave portrait images on specific materials, such as metal tags and wooden picture frames. Below are some common steps for laser engraving images in the laser equipment industry:

Firstly, import the photos requiring marking into the laser marking machine software.

2. Set the DPI (dots per inch) value for the Lansu laser marking machine, which refers to the pixel points. Generally, the higher the value set within, the better the marking effect, although it will take longer. Common settings are around 300-600 DPI, but you can adjust the parameters to a higher value if desired.

3. Next, we'll adjust the photo settings, typically including the inversion and halftone mode (there may also be cases where inversion is not selected, but normally, inversion should be set). After setting this up, proceed to the expansion section, check the brightness enhancement, and adjust the contrast to control the ideal effect of the laser engraving machine's photo output. The white area represents areas without marking, while the black area is for marking.

4. Now, let's look at the scanning mode. Many laser engraving machine manufacturers commonly use the dot mode with a setting of 0.5. Generally, bidirectional scanning is not recommended due to its slowness and the need for manual adjustment of the dot power. The right-hand speed is set around 2000, with a power of about 40 (the power setting here is for reference; for phone case photo engraving, a higher power setting may be required), and a frequency of around 30. The issue with frequency settings is that the higher the frequency, the denser the points produced by the laser engraver. Each photo requires contrast adjustment.
