U-bolts are bolts that resemble the shape of the letter "U." While they may appear simple, the manufacturing process is quite complex. Depending on the galvanizing method and the specific requirements of the customer, the common galvanizing processes for U-bolts include electroplating, powder zinc-nitriding, mechanical galvanizing, and hot-dip galvanizing.
01. Electroplated Zinc
Electroplated zinc is a common surface treatment method and technology in the manufacturing of fastener products.
02. Powder Zinc Phosphate Coating
Powder metallurgy zinc-nitriding is a surface treatment process in which zinc is provided by a zincating agent and zinc and iron atoms interdiffuse through heating, forming a zinc-iron alloy layer on the surface of steel.
March: Mechanical Zinc Plating
Mechanical galvanizing is a surface treatment process that involves forming a zinc coating on the surface of steel components by using impact media (such as glass beads) to strike and collide against the surface, under the presence of zinc powder, dispersants, accelerators, and a liquid medium (usually water).
April: Hot-Dip Galvanized
Hot-dip galvanizing, commonly referred to as hot galvanizing, is a process and method for obtaining a metallic coating by immersing pre-treated steel products into molten zinc, where a zinc and/or zinc-iron alloy coating forms on the surface.
