In the testing standards for PET plastic bottle caps, there are clear requirements for the sealing performance of the caps. Depending on the purpose of the cap, different testing methods are specified for non-gas and gas-filled caps. Non-gas caps require the removal of the anti-theft ring (strip) from the cap, which is then sealed with a rated torque of no less than 1.2 NM using a sealing tester. The cap is pressurized to 200 kPa, held underwater for one minute, and inspected for leaks or unfastening. Gas-filled caps are pressurized to 690 kPa, held underwater for one minute, and checked for leaks. The pressure is then increased to 1207 kPa, maintained for one minute, and the cap is observed for unfastening.
PET containers are transparent, allowing consumers to clearly see the product inside, significantly enhancing their confidence in the purchase. In terms of innovative design, PET containers offer greater flexibility, enabling special designs to meet various requirements, resulting in diverse shapes and greatly enhancing product appeal. Therefore, tea beverages packaged in PET bottles have a significant advantage in market promotion and marketing.
