The Wanhao 2D Image Measurement Instrument boasts powerful detection capabilities, enabling the measurement of multiple complex parameters of workpieces to ensure production quality. During the detection of certain workpieces, it is sometimes necessary to use a 2D image meter to measure the height of the workpiece, which requires mastering different measurement methods for various 2D image meters.
通常, when measuring workpiece height with a 2D imaging instrument, we have to damage the parts. Below, I'll explain two methods for height measurement using a 2D imaging instrument without damaging the components.
The first method, contact method for height measurement: install a probe on the Z-axis; measure the result directly using the contact method. This method also requires the addition of a module in the software of the two-dimensional image measurement instrument.
The second method, Image Height Measurement: Add a height measurement module to the 2D imaging instrument software, adjust the focal length to clear a plane; then find another plane; the difference between the two planes is the height to be measured. Systematic errors can be controlled within 5 micrometers.
If it's merely a matter of measuring relative height, we suggest considering adding either of the aforementioned methods to a 2D imaging instrument; for detecting spatial and composite dimensions, a 3D coordinate measuring machine is recommended.
The primary measurement function of the 2D image gauge is to measure the two-dimensional data of workpieces; it cannot measure complex height data.
