Beer Box Knowledge
Beer boxes are paper boxes made by shaping and bonding cardboard using a die-cutting machine, primarily made of corrugated cardboard.
Beer boxes come in various types such as bottom-locked, double-insertion, and airplane boxes, featuring lightweight, easy transportation and storage, and cost-effectiveness. Each type is used for different product packaging based on its unique characteristics.
Manufacturing Process
1. When selecting paper, most beer box packaging usually uses double copper and matte copper paper, with a standard grammage of 128G, 105G, or 157G. It's rare for beer box packaging to exceed 200G, as thicker packaging tends to cause bubbles in the beer box and gives a dull appearance. The wrapping paper is chosen based on the customer's requirements, commonly known as gray board paper or gray card paper.
2. Printing plates: Today's beer boxes emphasize aesthetics, so the color schemes are diverse, with a single style often featuring not only the 4 basic colors but also several spot colors, such as gold and silver, which are considered spot colors.
3.啤ing - This is a critical step in the printing process. For precise啤ing, the die cutting must be accurate. If the啤ing is not precise, it is off-center or not continuous, all these issues will affect subsequent processing.
4. Printing: Beer boxes are only printed on the packaging paper, and the lamination is not printed on. At most, it is just dyed. Since beer boxes are outer packaging boxes, the printing requirements for beer boxes are very high, and they are particularly sensitive to color variations, ink spots, and defective plates, which can affect aesthetics.
5. Surface Treatment: The packaging paper for beer boxes usually requires surface treatment, which commonly includes glossy lamination, matte lamination, UV coating, glossy varnish, and matte varnish.
6. Mounting: Typically, printed materials are mounted after being die-cut, but beer boxes are the opposite—they are die-cut first, then mounted. This is because we want to avoid damaging the packaging paper and ensure the overall aesthetic of the beer box. The mounting paper for beer boxes must be handcrafted to achieve a certain level of beauty.
7. Punching: Punch where necessary, and for areas without holes, clean the surface adhesive. Then, the product is ready for packaging and shipment.
