What is the standardized construction of full-site scaffolding?

The full-height scaffold is primarily used for decorative construction at the tops of buildings with high ceilings and spacious interiors, such as single-story factories, exhibition halls, and gymnasiums. It consists of uprights, crossbars, diagonal bracing, and scissor braces, among other components. How well do you understand the standardized construction of full-height scaffolding? Frame Foundation | Construction Operations

The foundation of the frame must be level and compact. When the foundation for the scaffolding is natural soil or backfill, it is essential to level and compact the soil layer for the column base first, followed by setting the base and pads. The pads should be made of wooden pads with a length of not less than two spans, a thickness of not less than 50mm, and a width of not less than 200mm to ensure even force distribution on the frame columns.

Base piles for scaffolding should implement reliable drainage measures to effectively prevent uneven settlement of the foundation due to accumulated rainwater, which could compromise the overall stability of the scaffolding.

The base elevation should be higher than the natural ground level by 50~100mm, and the scaffold must be set up with sweep rods according to regulations. When constructing a full-slab scaffold using steel pipe clips, the sweep rods should be fixed with right-angle clips on the uprights, not more than 200mm from the bottom of the steel pipe.

Bolting Locks | Construction Operations

Lumber extensions and joints must be connected using matching connectors, with the connectors for the vertical posts arranged alternately. The joints of adjacent vertical posts should not be aligned within the same plane. The distance between two alternate joints on a single post, in the vertical direction, should not be less than 500mm. The distance from the center of each joint to the main node should not exceed one-third of the spacing. The extension of horizontal rods in both longitudinal and transverse directions should be connected using matching connectors or butted joints.

Please comply with the following regulations.

The joints of two adjacent longitudinal and transverse horizontal bars should not be placed in synchronization or within the same span.

Two adjacent joints that are not in sync or of different spans should be at least 500mm apart horizontally.

3. Distance from each junction center to the main node is ≤ 1/3 of the longitudinal spacing.

4. When using overlapping for the horizontal bar, the overlap length should be ≥1m, and three evenly spaced rotating clamps should be set to secure it.

5. The distance from the edge of the end nut cover to the end of the horizontal rod is ≥100mm.

Structure Stability | Construction Operations

When constructing full-height scaffolding with steel pipe connectors, vertical diagonal bracing should be continuously installed from bottom to top every 6 to 8 meters around the perimeter and internally both horizontally and vertically. For scaffolding under 8 meters in height, continuous horizontal diagonal bracing should be set at the top of the frame. For frames 8 meters or taller, continuous horizontal diagonal bracing should be installed at the bottom, top, and at vertical intervals not exceeding 8 meters.

Horizontal剪刀撑 should be set within the intersection plane of the vertical剪刀撑 rods, with the width of the剪刀撑 ranging from 6m to 8m. Full span supports should have diagonal bracing set according to the type of frame.

Deck boards | Construction operations

The working platform should be fully, stably, and solidly laid out. The horizontal bar spacing supporting the working platform on the operating level of the full scaffold should not exceed 1/2 of the span.

Cushion steel scaffolding boards, wooden scaffolding boards, bamboo slat scaffolding boards, etc., should be placed on three horizontal cross bars. When the length of the scaffolding board is less than 2 meters, two horizontal cross bars can be used to support it, but the ends of the scaffolding board should be securely fastened to the horizontal cross bars to prevent tipping.
