Inorganic pre-coated panels, also known as clean boards or fire-resistant boards, are made with an asbestos-free calcium silicate board as the base material. Technically, they are coated with a special polyester for surface treatment, which imparts effective fire resistance, aging resistance, and water resistance to the panels. This maintains a bright appearance and gives a sense of cleanliness.
Below are three important considerations when using inorganic pre-coated panels.
Storage and Transportation
Prior to installation, inorganic pre-coated panels should be kept in their factory packaging as much as possible and stored indoors. If they are stored outdoors, the storage area should be level, free of standing water, and not subjected to the passage of cranes or heavy loads. Panels of the same type should be placed together, with each stack of panels bearing an easily identifiable panel type label and covered with waterproof tarpaulins.
2. Installation Precautions
The installation of inorganic pre-painted panels typically uses mobile scaffolding. When ensuring the load-bearing capacity of the construction scaffolding, it is also important to consider the distances between the curtain wall, work surface, and axes. Determine the spacing and positions of control points by referencing the reference surface, and pay attention to visibility. Identify the spacing of installation angles; the horizontal difference from the control elevation; the vertical spacing from the building; and the spacing from each floor. When handling inorganic pre-painted panels, both ends should be lifted simultaneously to avoid damaging the surface oxide film or coating.
3. Choose appropriately based on its characteristics
The strip-style features include modular assembly options, dry work, modular design, ease and speed, stable structure, detachable, and repairable. The back-hanging style boasts a stable and safe structure, easy selection and adjustment, and预留 clearances for constructing ventilation curtain wall systems. The adhesive style is characterized by convenience, economy, and minimal space usage. The visible nail style is known for its safety, ease of installation, and cost-effectiveness.
