Honoring Glory: Experiencing the Power and Peaceful Responsibility of Our Motherland in the Grand Military Parade

On September 3, 2025, Tiananmen Square was filled with flags waving and grandeur as a grand military parade was held to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and World Anti-Fascist War. This parade not only offered a profound look back at the history of blood and struggle but also an solemn display of China's power today. Every scene was emotionally stirring, and every moment was imbued with national pride.

To ensure the grand parade is presented flawlessly, all preparatory work is being carried out methodically and steadily. On June 24, 2025, the State Council Information Office held a press conference to officially introduce the overall arrangements for the commemorative activities. When the news of the grand parade on September 3 at the gate of Tiananmen in the capital was released, countless people were filled with anticipation. Subsequently, on August 9-10 and August 16-17, the 93rd Parade completed two comprehensive rehearsals, each one honing the details and each rehearsal a relentless pursuit of perfection. On August 20, the State Council Information Office held another press conference to detail the preparations for the parade: This parade meticulously arranged 45 contingents (battalions), proceeding in two steps: the parade and the divisional parade, with a total duration of approximately 70 minutes. In the divisional parade, the aerial flag-guard contingent took the lead, with the bright red flags shining brightly against the blue sky; followed by the marching contingents, their resolute steps echoing with strength and vigor across the square, showcasing the soldiers' spirited determination; the war flag contingent, carrying the glory of history, with each flag a testament to past brilliance and sacrifice; the equipment contingent followed, the rolling tide of armor demonstrating the hard power of technology; and the aerial contingent, soaring past, leaving behind a resplendent trail of fighter jets, adding a vivid touch to the parade.

During the parade, the equipment on display caught the public's attention, all of which were domestically produced and currently active main combat equipment. This detail reflects the rapid development of China's industry and a significant enhancement in its independent innovation capabilities. In addition to showcasing the latest traditional weaponry, the parade also featured some new combat forces such as unmanned intelligence, underwater combat, cyber-electronic offense and defense, and hypersonic capabilities. These advanced equipment are not only the fruits of technology but also a direct manifestation of China's strong ability to adapt to technological development, warfare evolution, and win future wars. Seeing these "national heavyweights" lined up in perfect order and exuding formidable presence, we profoundly feel: The Chinese military is robust! Dominant!
