Proper Installation Method for Optical Sorters:
1. Install the support or suspension device. During installation, level the foundation first, then assemble the components in sequence according to the component diagram of the support or suspension device and the sieve installation diagram. Before inserting the springs, match them according to the actual stiffness values marked on the end faces.
2. Attach the sifter box to a support or hanging device, and adjust it to the required tilt angle according to specifications. For hanging sifters, both the sifter box tilt angle and the horizontal alignment of the main shaft should be adjusted simultaneously. Generally, adjust the lateral level first to eliminate any tilt in the sifter box, followed by adjusting the longitudinal tilt angle. The vibration-damping springs should bear even force, and their load condition can be determined by measuring the compression of the springs. Typically, the compression of the two springs at the feeding end must be identical, as should the two springs at the discharge end. However, there can be slight differences in compression between the discharge and feeding ends.
3. Install the electric motor and V-belt. During installation, ensure the motor base is levelled, correct the motor's horizontal alignment, and align the centers of the two pulley grooves. The tension on the V-belt should be moderate, then install and secure the sieve surface as per instructions. Check the fastening of all sieve components and the lubrication of the transmission parts. The sieve mesh should be evenly tensioned to prevent localized vibration. Verify the correctness of the motor and control box wiring, and manually rotate the transmission parts to inspect for normal operation.
Inspect the infeed and discharge slots as well as the hopper of the optical sorting machine for any collision occurrences; if any are found, they should be repaired promptly.
