Metal signage serves as a carrier for advertising promotion, featuring strong visual impact, prominence, and aesthetics, making it widely used both outdoors and indoors. There are numerous methods for manufacturing metal signage, such as screen printing and pad printing. However, etching is a commonly used technique and also one of the more cost-effective processes.
Metal etching plates involve printing text or patterns onto a base material through corrosion. The principle is to use chemicals to react with copper plates, generating acid-resistant copper salts (i.e., Cu2+), thereby forming a protective layer to prevent oxidation of the copper plate. Additionally, electrochemical methods can produce hydroxide ions to further prevent the occurrence of oxidation reactions.
Traditional metal etching plates were produced through manual operations, resulting in low efficiency and difficulty in quality control. However, the modern industrial production method has effectively addressed this issue: Using computer-controlled engraving machines to carve the surface of steel plates, followed by laser perforation technology to transfer text or patterns onto the surface, and finally, using CNC machines for polishing and painting processes to complete the finished product.
In practice, we can customize products in various sizes to meet the specific needs of different applications; additionally, we offer a range of colors to cater to individual customer preferences.
