In the advertising production industry, UV flatbed printing equipment is an indispensable "magic tool." Although UV flatbed printers are easy to operate, beginners may encounter some issues that could lead to printing quality errors. Don't worry, Dongguan Qicaqiao has compiled three common problems for you.
Print Media
During the production process of UV flatbed printers, printing quality errors can occur due to issues such as nozzle failure and improper adjustment of the medium's height. This mainly results from nozzle ink滴漏 or leakage, or the nozzle being too close to the material, causing it to scratch the surface and damage the image quality. The printing material must be laid flat, which is much better for equipment with an air suction device. Of course, another reason is that the printing material is too transparent or too thick. In such cases, it is necessary to reload the printing material to ensure a flat surface and also replace the opaque material.
Section Two: Dripping Ink Phenomenon
During the printing process of UV flatbed printers, there may occasionally be ink leakage. This is usually due to the wet filter in the air filter of the auxiliary ink tank, which leads to poor ventilation. Another cause could be the presence of fine hair and dust particles in the printer's nozzle, causing ink to automatically drop off when these contaminants accumulate to a certain level. To resolve this issue, it is necessary to replace the air filter, clean the nozzle with a specialized cleaning solution, and conduct a thorough inspection of the two edges of the light box fabric for any excess frayed edges. If any are found, they can be simply treated with a lighter.
Section III: Data Transmission Issues
You might encounter a situation where, after the UV flatbed printer transmits the print data, its indicator light keeps flashing continuously, even when the start button is pressed, and the UV flatbed printer still cannot print. This is a common printing production issue that inexperienced operators find difficult to handle. It's important to note that if the UV flatbed printer performs an incorrect termination of the print job during the printing process, even if the printing is stopped, some residual print data may still be transmitted from the computer to the UV flatbed printer, remaining in its memory. However, from the printer's perspective, these data are invalid, and the print job cannot be completed, which may also cause subsequent printing tasks to not proceed normally.
