It is understood that there are two commonly available hot water cleaning machines in the market:
A high-pressure hot water cleaning machine, which uses high-pressure water heated by a boiler to form high-pressure hot water steam. This steam is then directed through a nozzle at high speed. The machine has high pressure but the temperature cannot be too low; the nozzle outlet temperature generally does not exceed 80°C. Since the hot water expands and cools rapidly after passing through the nozzle, the temperature on the ground is lower, with tests showing it typically around 40°C.
Another option is the steam cleaner, which involves heating normal water in a boiler to form high-pressure steam. This steam is then propelled at high speed through a nozzle. The temperature of this cleaning machine is high but the pressure is low, generally not exceeding 10 kilograms. This pressure is not sufficient to dislodge slightly stubborn stains.
Maxi's high-pressure hot water cleaning machines for pig farming industries have nozzle outlet temperatures of up to 140°C. Ground temperatures have been tested at approximately 85°C; a 200kg high-pressure, high-flow jet stream can easily dislodge stubborn stains.
