Oil-Free Screw Compressors, as a special type within the screw compressor category, are widely used in industries that demand high air quality, such as laboratories. When it comes to maintenance and repair, oil-free screw compressors also have some unique requirements compared to other air compressors. Based on the previous technicians' maintenance experience, I have summarized the following tips for your reference:
To maintain the optimal performance of oil-free air compressors, it's essential to protect the screw compressor during regular use. Avoid exposing it to intense sunlight or harsh weather conditions to prevent rust on its internal components. Ensuring this also guarantees that the compressed air produced meets the desired quality standards.
2. When performing maintenance, remember to shut off the screw machine's power before operating. Keep the environment clean and avoid excessive clutter around to prevent fires and other accidents.
Avoid operations that exceed pressure, load, or violate the specifications and limitations for screw compressor usage, to prevent damage to the air compressor and even the risk of gas storage tank explosions.
Establish a habit of regularly inspecting, maintaining, and cleaning screw machines.
5. Please use genuine manufacturer's products for all components of the screw machine during maintenance. Avoid using counterfeit or substandard parts in pursuit of lower costs, as this may pose hazards and affect the lifespan of the screw machine.
Do not attempt to disassemble an air compressor, replace screw compressor parts, or alter parameters without technical guidance to avoid unwanted consequences.
7. When not in use during off-hours, it is good practice to habitually turn off the power to the screw machine to prevent damage due to unstable voltage or power outages, which could pose hazards.
