With China's rapid economic growth, disposable paper cups have become an indispensable daily expense item in various settings such as homes, restaurants, and offices. As convenient companions for daily life and travel, their convenient portability is essential. Their diverse designs, vibrant colors, and durability make them a favorite among many.

Currently, paper cups available in the market are generally made from a single layer of paper, which often results in low cup strength. After containing hot water, the cups tend to deform easily, and they also have poor heat insulation and are not slip-resistant.

Single-layer paper cups, also known as one-sided coated paper cups, are a type of disposable paper cups. They feature a smooth PE coating on the inside. These cups are commonly used for serving drinking water, offering convenience for consumption. They are made from food-grade wood pulp paper and food-grade PE film.

The double-layered paper cup, as the name suggests, refers to a cup that is composed of two layers. The quality of double-layered paper cups is superior to that of single-layered paper cups. They also have a longer usage time than single-layered paper cups. They are also suitable for holding hot beverages, such as hot coffee.

In 1940, to expand the application of paper cups, the straight-walled double-layer paper cup was introduced to the market. This cup is not only convenient to carry but also suitable for hot beverages. Subsequently, manufacturers coated these cups with latex to mask the paper taste inherent in the material and enhance their leak-proof properties. The single-layer waxed cups treated with latex are widely used for serving hot coffee.

Double-layer paper cups, including a base and a double-layer cup body composed of an inner paper cup body and an outer paper cup body, where the inner or outer surface of each cup body features irregular reinforcing ribs. The surface formed by these irregular reinforcing ribs is a textured surface, and the inner paper cup body and the outer paper cup body are sealed and tightly attached to each other.
