During the production and processing of nylon zippers, in order to achieve certain special effects or design requirements for garments, some finishing treatments are conducted after the clothes are made. Among them, the "washing" process is quite common. During the washing process, the forces generated inside the washing machine can cause the zipper to forcibly open, and external forces or pulling can lead to damage or detachment of the zipper teeth.

When the zipper is not fully closed before water washing and is subjected to external force during the process, the teeth inside the pull head are pulled by the pull head. When the external force exceeds the strength it can bear, the teeth may break or shift. At this point, the pull head may also fall off due to gaps created by the loss or displacement of the chain teeth. Friends who work in these processing operations should take note: when washing finished garments, make sure the zipper is fully closed, pull the pull head to the top, and secure it in place.

Additionally, there are instances where light stones are added to the washing machine to achieve effects like stone-washed fabric. These small stones roll back and forth during the washing process, and due to their hardness, they can scratch the zipper components or the surface treatment layer, revealing the base color of the material. Therefore, at this point, the zipper pull should be wrapped in cotton cloth and stitched to the fabric or material for stabilization.

So when washing laundry, try to keep the zippers closed or wrap and secure the pull tab and the end of the zipper with cotton fabric. This way, the pull tab won't directly contact the machine's interior wall, preventing continuous collisions, which will significantly extend its lifespan compared to not securing it.

After wrapping the bottom of the zipper, the bolt or bolt box will not enter certain parts of the washing machine, thereby preventing the occurrence of pulling. The fabric strap will not easily separate from the bolt rod.
