Nowadays, the use of earphone jacks is widespread across various devices, including mobile phones with stereo designs, CD players, cordless phones, MP3 players, digital laptops, DVDs, and digital cameras. Below, we'll delve into the aspects to consider when using earphone jacks.

Use Instructions:

Do not touch the earphone jack with wet hands during daily use, as it may cause electric shocks and other accidents, which requires great attention.

2. When not in use, cover the dust cap to prevent oxidation. Otherwise, the plating on the earphone jack's surface can deteriorate over time due to prolonged contact with air, leading to poor contact between the earphone jack and plug.

Currently, there are mainly two types of earphone jack specifications: 2.5mm and 3.5mm. When using them, we should choose according to the device, as the requirements for using earphone jack devices of different specifications may vary. Some devices are not compatible with the 2.5mm earphone jack. Forcing their use can easily damage the earphone jack.

4. The insulation resistance of earphone jacks is generally greater than or equal to 100MΩ. Insulation resistance refers to the resistance between conductors of the earphone jack that do not touch each other. If it is less than 100MΩ, the conductors may not withstand normal current, leading to easy damage to the earphone jack.

5. Should there be any abnormal sound or burning smell while using the earphone jack, it's crucial to immediately disconnect the power and conduct a repair to prevent potential safety hazards.

6. Do not exceed the specified rated current when using the earphone jack. Exceeding the rated current may accelerate the aging of certain components inside the earphone jack, leading to issues such as no sound or other malfunctions during use. In severe cases, it could potentially damage the earphone jack.

7. When the circuit is connected, the resistance value between the two contact conductors of the earphone jack is called the contact resistance. Generally, the contact resistance of an earphone jack should not exceed 0.03Ω.

8. The dielectric strength of earphone jacks should generally be greater than AC 500V; this dielectric strength, also known as voltage resistance, refers to the voltage that the conductors in contact with each other in the earphone jack can withstand. If the voltage resistance is less than AC 500V, when operating the equipment at high voltages, the conductors between the earphone jacks may not bear the load, leading to the possibility of burning. We must pay attention to this.

9. When using the earphone jack, avoid excessive force when inserting or removing the plug, as this may damage the internal transmission chip within the jack.
