Gravity Method: Place the container below the oil outlet, loosen the oil drain screw, and then allow the old oil from the vacuum pump to automatically flow into the container. After emptying the old oil, pour a small amount of clean vacuum pump oil (100-500mL) into the pump through the suction port, flush the vacuum pump cavity, then start the vacuum pump for about 1 minute, and then turn off the vacuum pump to discharge the newly added oil. If the oil released still cannot operate normally, continue to add new mixed oil and flush until clean. Then, tighten the oil drain bolt. Loosen the oil filling hole screw, add vacuum pump oil to the vacuum pump to reach the oil level, and then tighten the oil filling screw. LVO100 20L 1.jpg

(2) Place the container below the oil drain and turn the oil drain screw. Close the intake port and simultaneously turn on the vacuum pump. Open the air regulating valve and cover the exhaust port of the vacuum pump to generate sufficient internal pressure for the rapid expulsion of the dirty oil. Then, follow Method (1) to flush the internal cavity of the vacuum pump and replace with new oil.

Be mindful of these precautions when changing vacuum pump oil:

(1) Pay attention to cleanliness and prevent dust from entering the vacuum pump.

(2) The operation time of the Shanghai vacuum pump should not be too long to avoid excessive dryness and fatigue of the exhaust valve blades.

(3) Absolutely no neutral oil or alcohol should be used to flush non-removable vacuum pumps.

(4) Change the oil after the engine oil temperature has risen to expel the internal engine oil of the vacuum pump.
