Plastics and Injection
Firstly, plastic raw materials are processed through a series of steps, such as drying, screening, and mixing, to become plasticizing materials suitable for injection molding. In the heated barrel of the injection molding machine, the plastic begins to melt and plasticize under the heat, forming a uniform melted state. Subsequently, the plasticized material is pushed into the nozzle of the injection molding machine by the plunger or screw. Once a sufficient amount of plastic accumulates in the nozzle, the injection force of the machine stops, and the nozzle injects plastic into the mold's gating system. At this point, the gating system guides the plastic into the mold cavity.
Mold Filling
Under the pressure of the injection molding machine, plastic flows in the mold cavity and fills the entire mold cavity. During this process, the plastic is further plasticized and melted under the effects of pressure and temperature. Simultaneously, the mold's cooling system begins to work, removing the internal heat of the mold through cooling water channels or cooling mediums, allowing the plastic to cool and solidify rapidly in the mold cavity.
Section 3: Molding and Demolding
After plastic cools and hardens in the mold cavity, the mold is opened, and the molded plastic product is ejected from the mold cavity or removed from the mold. This process is known as demolding. During demolding, the mold parting surface opens, and the product is ejected from or removed from the mold. Subsequently, the mold closes to prepare for the next injection molding cycle.
IV. Additional Supporting Actions
During the injection molding process, various auxiliary actions are involved, such as mold venting, ejector mechanism adjustment, and mold temperature control. These actions are crucial for ensuring product quality and production stability.
In summary, the principle of plastic injection molding primarily involves steps such as plasticization, injection, filling, cooling, mold opening, and ejection. These steps work in harmony to complete the injection molding process for plastic products.
