LED giant Fullhan indicated that the overall operational performance should improve quarter by quarter this year, with the second half expected to outperform the first.
Overall, Fullcolor's goal for the year is to maintain revenue as closely as possible. However, actual performance will depend on the strength of the recovery in the second half. Currently, the demand for backlighting has improved slightly due to the recovery in panel prosperity, and new applications such as automotive and TVs have the potential to inject new momentum into MiniLED. The construction of new capacity for Micro LED and the development of new products are both progressing smoothly according to the original schedule.
The 6-inch Micro LED new production line currently under construction is expected to be installed and put into operation by the end of this year and early next year, respectively. It will begin sample certification in the first quarter of next year and see a significant increase in volume from the end of next year to early 2025. A new factory is anticipated to join in two years.
Initial estimates, including new facilities built by Fuzhou Microelectronics and capacity from strategic partner Jin创 Technology, indicate that Fuzhou Microelectronics' 6-inch Micro LED total annual production capacity will reach 5,000 units by the end of next year. With the planned new capacity, the total annual production capacity is expected to reach 10,000 units between 2025 and 2026.
