The coolant in precision planer grinding machines also serves as a milling and lubricating agent. The tangential force during grinding is extremely high, which can cause the extensibility yield of the CNC lathe, abrasive wheel, and workpiece system, resulting in the actual cutting depth being less than the nominal depth. Therefore, when the grinding is nearly complete, it is advisable to perform a finishing grind without cutting to eliminate deviations. As the abrasive grains become dull, the grinding force also increases, leading to the abrasion or detachment of the grains, revealing sharp cutting edges again, a characteristic known as "self-sharpening." Self-sharpening allows for normal grinding within a certain time frame, but after exceeding a certain operating time, manual trimming should be performed to prevent the expansion of the grinding force from causing vibrations, noise, and damage to the surface quality of the workpiece.

The precision planer grinding is a method of turning production by placing a grinding wheel as a cutting tool on a CNC grinder. This method's characteristics are that, due to the high strength and temperature resistance of the grinding wheel abrasive particles, it can produce and process high-strength raw materials such as hardened steel and hard alloy cutting tools. The features of the grinding wheel and high-precision tool grinding machines determine that the grinding process system can perform uniform minor boring, typically with ap = 0.001~0.005mm; the grinding speed is very high, usually reaching v = 30~50m/s; the bending rigidity of the high-precision tool grinding machines is good; and the hydraulic transmission system is used, thereby allowing for economically obtaining high processing accuracy (IT6~IT5) and small surface roughness (Ra = 0.8~0.2μm). Grinding is one of the specific methods for deep processing of parts.

During the placement of workpieces on the precision flat grinding machine's hard disk, demagnetization must be performed first.
