Optical image measuring instruments, as high-precision and efficient measuring devices, are significantly affected by environmental factors in terms of measurement accuracy and stability. To ensure the accuracy of measurement results and the normal operation of the instrument, the following are the main requirements for the measurement environment of optical image measuring instruments:

The image measuring instrument must be placed in a dust-free environment. Due to its high precision, even the slightest dust or debris can contaminate parts like the guide rail and lens, thereby affecting its accuracy and imaging quality. Therefore, regular cleaning of the instrument and maintaining a dust-free state is crucial. Additionally, when entering or exiting the measurement area, personnel should change shoes or wear shoe covers to minimize the introduction of dust.

Maintaining the ambient temperature is crucial for the proper functioning of image measuring instruments. Generally, the instrument's environment should be kept between 18 and 24 degrees Celsius. Temperatures outside this range can impair instrument accuracy. Therefore, it is necessary to ensure stable temperature conditions in the measurement environment and avoid adjustments or measurement work in temperatures that are too high or too low.

Humidity is also a crucial factor affecting the accuracy of image measurement instruments. Excessive environmental humidity can lead to rusting of the instruments, affecting their normal operation. Therefore, the general environmental humidity should be controlled between 45% and 75%. In areas with higher humidity, additional dehumidification measures may be required to maintain the environmental humidity within the appropriate range.

In addition to the aforementioned factors, image measuring instruments should be shielded from direct sunlight. Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight not only raises the instrument's temperature, affecting its accuracy, but may also damage its optical components. Therefore, the instrument should be placed in a location where it is protected from direct sunlight, or protective measures such as sunshades should be used.

Vibration is also a significant factor affecting the accuracy of image measuring instruments. If the equipment is exposed to a vibratory environment for an extended period, its components may become damaged, leading to reduced accuracy. Therefore, when installing and using an image measuring instrument, it is crucial to ensure it is placed on a stable base and to minimize vibrations from the surrounding environment.
