Water pollution has become a significant factor制约ing China's sustainable economic and social development, attracting high attention from both the government and society. Many factors can affect the efficiency of wastewater treatment equipment during the treatment process. Below, we introduce the various factors that can influence the effectiveness of water treatment equipment.

1. Load: The load of the biological treatment reactor must be controlled within a reasonable range.

2. Water Temperature: An essential factor, within a certain range, as the temperature increases, the rate of biochemical reactions and cell proliferation also accelerate. The components of cells, such as proteins and nucleic acids, are highly sensitive to temperature. Sudden temperature increases or decreases beyond a certain limit can result in irreversible damage.

3. pH Level: The pH range for the growth of aerobic microorganisms is between 6.5 and 8.5, whereas anaerobic microorganisms require a pH level between 6.8 and 7.2.

4. Oxygen Content: The dissolved oxygen concentration in the mixed liquid at the outlet of the aeration pond should be maintained around 2mg/L (4mg/L for pure oxygen aeration methods). For the A/O process, the dissolved oxygen concentration in the A stage should be kept below 0.5mg/L, while anaerobic microorganisms can only survive in environments with low oxygen content, even in anaerobic conditions.

5. Nutrient Balance: An imbalance of various nutrients in the wastewater can affect the activity of microorganisms, subsequently impacting the treatment efficiency.

6. Toxic Substances: When the concentration of toxic substances in the wastewater exceeds the limit, it affects the activity of microorganisms, thereby influencing the treatment efficiency.
