In general, refrigerant levels in refrigeration units should not be overfilled or underfilled. For small industrial chilled water units, the refrigerant charge is fixed and can be filled using a volumetric filling device. Simply close the three-way valve after evacuating the refrigeration system, shut off the vacuum pump, detach the pressure hose connector from the vacuum pump, and install it in the filling chamber of the volumetric charger; or remove the pressure hose connector from the three-way valve and connect the pressure hose from the volumetric filling device to the three-way valve connector. Open the outlet valve to expel air from the hose, then tighten the hose connector and check for leaks.

During the refrigerant charging of industrial refrigeration units, first observe the pressure gauge reading on the charger. Rotate the scale sleeve to find the corresponding fixed charging pipeline on the sleeve that matches the pressure gauge. Record the initial liquid level of the refrigerant in the glass tube. Then, open the three-way valve, allowing the refrigerant to enter the refrigeration system through the rubber hose, and the liquid level in the glass tube begins to drop. Once the specified charging amount is reached, close the three-way valves on the outlet chamber and the feeder, completing the charging process.
When refilling refrigerant into an industrial chill water unit using a vacuum charging machine, simply close the vacuum cut-off valve on the vacuum charging machine after vacuuming, and then open the filling cut-off valve to inject the refrigerant into the refrigeration system.
1. Typically, it's 1 cold ton office: 1kg of smarttags, but it depends on whether the heat exchange area of the system design is too large.
2. If the condenser (air-cooled) of a standard chilled water unit has an overheated liquid section, the cooling capacity of each chilled water unit (2500W) is 0.9kg. If there is no liquid section in the condenser, the refrigerant content is 0.5kghp. Strictly speaking, adding 56%-120% refrigerant to air conditioners with an overheated liquid section (like Trane) is normal. It is recommended to initially fill it with 0.5kgpi of cooling capacity, then add the appropriate amount.
3. At this point, operate the running unit and use an ammeter to measure if the current passing through the compressor is equal to the rated current. If it's lower than the rated current, it indicates that the refrigerant charge is insufficient. If it exceeds the rated current, then there is an excess of refrigerant. Release an appropriate amount of refrigerant.
4. Water-cooled chillers: 1RT x 0.7-0.85; air-cooled chillers: 1RT x 1.2-1.4. Generally, 850g of refrigerant is sufficient to meet the 1P cooling demand.
