Key Features:
Stepper motors require a driver to operate; the driver signal must be a pulse signal. Without pulses, the stepper motor remains stationary. When appropriate pulse signals are applied, it rotates at a certain angle (referred to as the step angle). The rotation speed is proportional to the frequency of the pulses.
Step motors have a stepping angle of 7.5 degrees, a full circle being 360 degrees, requiring 48 pulses to complete.
Step motors offer superior features of instant start and rapid stop.
4. Altering the sequence of the pulses can conveniently change the direction of rotation.
Therefore, devices such as printers, plotters, and robots are powered by stepper motors as their core driving force.
