The construction of cold storage facilities, utilizing cooling equipment to achieve suitable humidity and low-temperature conditions, involves the procurement of various cold storage equipment, materials, and accessories, as well as the assembly of storage panels, installation of indoor and outdoor units, laying and connecting piping, pipe insulation, drainage installation, wiring setup, control system installation, connection of power lines for indoor and outdoor units, and system debugging.

Refrigerated storage installation includes the following items:

Construction oversight was not stringent. "When the temperature difference between the two sides of the retaining structure is equal to or greater than 5 degrees Celsius, an airtight layer should be set on the side with higher temperature. Failure to strictly enforce this will affect the quality of the food cold storage. Strictly maintain quality control and choose good thermal insulation boards (polyurethane)."

2. The top of food cold storage equipment should not be cluttered with debris, as this can deform the cold storage panels and affect their insulation performance. It is essential to keep the surrounding passages of the cold storage clear and unobstructed to ensure good heat dissipation. The installation location of the cold storage should be kept dry, clean, free of flammable and explosive materials, and ensure there are no safety hazards. Adequate space should be left in front of the evaporator to avoid affecting the refrigeration effect.

3. Due to some misconceptions about the moisture-proof and airtight insulation layer of food cold storage, there is a lack of clarity from the outset regarding the working principles of the cold storage and the impact of external environments on its operation. It is believed that the presence or absence of a waterproof and airtight layer has little effect on the insulation of food cold storage, and some even argue that there is no significant difference in choosing what material to use. Consequently, the design phase lacks proper oversight.

The cold storage designed for temperatures around -20°C requires polyurethane insulation of 150mm for the ceiling and walls, and 200mm for the floor. Since polyurethane inherently has good waterproofing properties, there is no need for a vapor barrier. However, as the polyurethane insulation in the cold storage's protective structure gradually ages over time, we need to add a wave-shaped protective layer to the foam-padded walls.
