Important Considerations for Installing Double Alloy Screw Feed Extruder Barrel Screw

The screw is a critical component in the plasticizing section of raw materials, and its processing accuracy and work quality directly affect the molding quality of plastic products. The injection mold screw operates under high temperatures, high pressures, high mechanical torque, and high friction for extended periods. The first three factors are required by the process conditions, while the wear caused by friction is inevitable. However, if the causes of wear are ignored and efforts are not made to minimize it, the working life of the screw will be significantly reduced. It is necessary to prevent or reduce equipment wear and corrosion to extend the service life of the equipment.

Important Notes for Installing Double Alloy Screw Barrels:

Apply a uniform coating of heat-resistant lubricant (such as MoS2) to the threaded surface and the head thread of the bolt to prevent rusting due to high temperatures.

2. Screw model confirmation.

When installing the check valve, pay attention to the direction. The side with double chamfers (large chamfer) should face the screw shaft direction to facilitate feeding when storing materials.

4. Pay attention to the fit between the check ring and the barrel. The check ring should be ground to a size 0.08-0.10MM smaller than the barrel.

5. Note that the direction to tighten the screw head is counterclockwise (reverse thread).

6. Ensure that the front cylinder screw is tightened symmetrically and evenly.

7. Ensure the material cylinder cooling system is cleaned thoroughly and remains unobstructed. Pay attention to the correct use of the raw material tape, wrapping it around the process plug.

8. Installed water inlets and outlets, and conducted a pressure test. No leakage at 0.8 MPa pressure.

9. Installation Tips for Heating Coils:

A: Core wire is not exposed

B. Plastic sheath not tightly fastened

C: The porcelain joint screws are not higher than the plane.

The installation direction of electric heating rings is generally around 45 degrees downward.

Please note the arrangement of the heating rings and ensure they do not interfere with the protective cover.
