PVC gaskets are made from polyvinyl chloride (PVC) material. They feature a flat structure and are sometimes referred to as PVC sheets. These gaskets offer excellent elasticity, corrosion resistance, and resistance to chemical侵蚀, with superior sealing properties. They are suitable for pipeline systems handling low-pressure, low-temperature, acidic, alkaline, and other mediums.
PVC washers are primarily used to protect soft fillings and assist in their water-stopping function. They are commonly employed for sealing purposes in panel stacked rock dams, dam deformation and edge joints in hydroelectric installation projects, as well as in basement, civil defense equipment, tunnel construction subway stations, diversion tunnels, and water supply and drainage engineering. Moreover, PVC washers offer excellent resistance to aging and extreme temperatures, strong tear and impact resistance, and possess certain adhesive self-healing properties.
Classification of PVC Gaskets:
PVC gaskets are categorized by application, dividing into industrial and residential types. Industrial-grade PVC gaskets are commonly used in scenarios such as dam panel waterstop, building waterproofing, and pipe sealing. Conversely, residential-grade PVC gaskets are often applied in home decoration and flooring installations.
According to structural classification, waterproofing PVC gaskets are composite materials, generally comprising a rubber layer and other reinforcing layers. Among them, the rubber layer is often made of三元乙丙橡胶 (EPDM rubber), which boasts excellent properties such as weather resistance, ozone resistance, heat resistance, acid and alkali resistance, and steam resistance.
