Application of BMC Materials in Electrical Equipment

Electrical components specified for characteristics typically require high temperature resistance, good processing properties, and aesthetic appeal. Therefore, traditionally, metals, base steel plates, coatings, or thermosetting plastics have been used in manufacturing. BMC materials meet the fundamental characteristics requirements for electrical equipment manufacturing. The usage performance of BMC materials in extreme environments is considered to be highly heat-resistant.

Therefore, BMC materials are not new in the electrical equipment manufacturing industry, and they are also very popular in decorative components. Thanks to modern formulas, stamping molds, and processing techniques, designs for both bright and dark parts can be developed and mass-produced. Compared to thermosetting plastics and coated steel sheets, loose forming plastics offer exceptional cost advantages. This material meets the specific color and temperature resistance requirements of the electrical equipment industry, and also eliminates scratches caused by secondary painting.

In addition, the application of BMC materials has further enhanced production and operational efficiency. Traditionally, segmented plastic molding has been used for components in electrical equipment, engineering structures, erosion-resistant tools, and temperature-resistant components. It has always been limited to manufacturing components of electrical equipment that are not visible or movable, such as brushes, synchronous motor waterproof sleeves, and electrical equipment chassis.

BMC materials are also commonly used in the production of electrical equipment and automotive parts. During the production process, they allow for complex structures, with components that can be assembled and designs that are flexible. The use of traditional raw materials and new chemical corrosion inhibitors results in high process performance. With the improvement of stamping molds and forming equipment, small-scale formed plastics can fully meet aesthetic requirements.
