Core pin rivets are a type of fastener used to connect two workpieces by stretching the core rod. Prior to installation, drilling holes is required. The specific steps are as follows:
Use an appropriate electric or hand drill to pre-drill holes in the workpiece. Determine the diameter and length of the holes based on the specifications of the pull-push rivets.
Insert the mandrel of the pull rivet into the hole, ensuring it protrudes from the back by 1-2 mandrel lengths.
3. Utilize the matching mandrel pull-cutter to stretch the mandrel and then cut off a portion of the mandrel according to the tool's instructions.
Cautionary Note:
Before installing the blind rivet, it is necessary to pre-measure the thickness of the workpiece and the required installation length to ensure that the hole size and depth match.
Choose the appropriate mandrel rivet specification to ensure its load-bearing capacity meets the connection requirements.
If core pull rivets need to be installed on thin-walled materials, shims or other compensating materials can be used to reinforce the connection structure.
When tightening mandrel rivets, it is important to pay attention to the force and direction to avoid breakage or other issues due to over-torque.
