Delight Group's products are primarily manufactured using our in-house molds. Our Delight Electronics Mold Factory has facilities in Panyu, Guangzhou, and Hengnan, Hunan. In addition, we are continuously expanding our African factory. With the increase in production volume and high quality, we require more precise mold manufacturing to ensure our support. Under the influence of the production environment, while the mold manufacturing factory needs to produce higher quality and precision molds, we must also implement robust monitoring in data management and the entire mold production process. When manufacturing meets the digital economy, it inevitably drives the acceleration of traditional industries' transformation. Informationization is also undergoing profound changes. Although Germany's Industry 4.0, America's Industrial Internet, and these three major strategies differ in their expressions, they are essentially the same in terms of intelligent manufacturing.

Embarking on the Path to Intelligent Manufacturing Management


DeYi Electronics and FangTian Software's partnership began in 2018. DeYi Electronics selected FangTian Software's B9 Enterprise Information Management System and initiated the process of group信息化. In July 2018, the company officially launched the MES project to meet the management requirements for mold processing at the Guangzhou and Hengnan plants. Through the construction of the MES system, DeYi Electronics has achieved fine control of work orders, progress management, traceable labor hour statistics, production capacity control, performance evaluation, and processing cost management.


A company must rely on software tools to achieve data-driven management, especially when the scale of the factory reaches a certain level, where all management data needs to be statistically analyzed, rather than manually processed. This is what Manager Chen of De Yi Electronic Molding emphasized at the project launch. He also highly praised Fangtian Software, stating, "In the mold production and manufacturing industry, we have visited many mold factories using Fangtian Software and have great confidence in their over twenty years of implementation experience. We still want to leverage their excellent experience to enhance our management. Mold Intelligent Management Achieves Cost Reduction and Efficiency Enhancement


One of the crucial tasks at De Yi Electronics involves molds, where during the production process, modifications and order insertions are necessary based on the varying production needs of different industry clients. Initially, De Yi Electronics utilized manual and Kanban management methods to display mold progress and data on a fixed-position whiteboard. While this approach achieved some results, it consumed a significant amount of manual effort, and the data was not always timely.


After implementing the Fangtian MES system, all information regarding each mold, from production to inventory and shipping, is displayed and centrally managed in real-time within the system, making mold management information fully transparent. Extracting and analyzing data has become much more convenient, and it also avoids the drawbacks of human interference through manual reports and the inconvenience of storing paper information.


Delight Electronics also undertakes a crucial task of recording the actual labor hours invested in each mold set during the manufacturing process. This facilitates the financial department in calculating the processing costs of the mold factory based on labor hours, and also helps the factory manage cost inputs more reasonably during production. With the introduction of信息化 (informationization), the labor hours for each part and each employee in every mold set can be tallied. The company can also conduct professional data analysis, saving manual labor for statistics and significantly improving the accuracy and timeliness of financial and production management data. This approach avoids issues such as resource wastage, extra work, poor management, or material loss, reduces related costs, and ensures the safety and reliability of information.


Capacity distribution is balanced, reducing workpiece blockage. Any manufacturing plant needs to plan and arrange in advance during the production process, making the Production Management Controller (PMC) or production management a crucial role within the factory. So, how do production management personnel allocate the received processing tasks? At DeYi Electronics, the production management is divided into senior production managers and junior production managers. What is a senior production manager? Essentially, a senior production manager is responsible for distributing product part processing tasks within the group. These managers receive tasks for processing parts from various demand units and consolidate them with the senior production managers. Then, the senior production managers distribute the received tasks to different part processing factories for processing. At this point, the production management personnel responsible for arranging direct production for the part processing factories are the junior production managers. Therefore, junior production managers are in charge of receiving tasks and arranging them in the FangTian ERP system, allowing front-line workshop staff to receive and process their tasks at any time.


During the processing stage, the production manager must ensure that the tasks assigned are neither too many nor too few. How do we measure this? This is a concern for all factories. In the Fangtian ERP system, standards for production capacity can be pre-set for different departments. This standard capacity serves as the benchmark for planning. The establishment of this standard also requires consideration of internal exception handling, so the fluctuation of production capacity must be taken into account during maintenance. The dynamic production capacity distribution, personnel productivity tables, and machine operation reports from the Fangtian ERP system provide real-time insights into the factory's production load, saving the production manager time on statistical analysis. This greatly enhances the convenience of task scheduling, and also ensures a smooth flow between planning and actual on-site processing, preventing phenomena such as waiting and congestion due to unreasonable planning.


Laying the Foundations for an Intelligent Factory, Embracing the Digital Future


DeYi Electronics continues to forge ahead on the path of informatization. The MES system for workshop management has been successfully implemented in the short term. FangTian Software will collaborate with DeYi Electronics to develop secondary functions for software integration. Future cooperation on informatization projects is expected to expand. Meanwhile, FangTian will work with DeYi to align towards more convenient and intelligent system foundations. Our newly launched DNC Intelligent Manufacturing solution is also advancing in its integration with DeYi. Our goal extends beyond intelligent manufacturing; we aim for more intelligent, fully automated informatization of manufacturing. This will lay a solid foundation for DeYi Electronics' development and internal management decision-making analysis.


Deeji Electronics anticipates combining automation upgrades to achieve operational early warnings. It aims to identify bottlenecks at each work station and process, thereby making targeted improvements to enhance efficiency. "Improving non-bottleneck processes may boost efficiency, but it won't contribute much to the overall efficiency increase," said a Deeji executive. The management expressed expectations for the future development of intelligent manufacturing. Just like diagnosing a disease requires timely detection during the process, Deeji hopes to implement intelligent management in its intelligent manufacturing system, encompassing analysis, reasoning, judgment, conceptualization, and decision-making, among others. Just like Baidu Maps, it should be able to see in real-time whether each section of the road is clear or congested. Such management is meaningful.
