What are the requirements during the operation of an oil-water separator?

The Oil-Water Separator is an instrument designed to separate oil from water. Its principle primarily relies on the density difference between water and fuel, utilizing the gravity sedimentation method to remove impurities and separate moisture. It also features a diffuser cone and filter mesh, among other separation components.

1. During operation, the oil-water mixture enters the initial filter of the pipeline under the action of pressure difference, with large particles of impurities being filtered out; it is then pumped into the disperser via the inlet liquid diaphragm pump (this pump is not required under the presence of power and head), where it is evenly dispersed by the disperser.

The dispersed liquid to be treated enters the slow flow permeator and slowly permeates out; the oil-water mixture flows slowly, with the action of the density difference between oil and water, oil molecule clusters rise to the surface, and water molecule clusters sink. The tiny oil droplets in the oil-water mixture move around due to Brownian motion. Below, the hydrophilic and oleophobic material prevents the droplets from passing through, while above, the tiny oil droplet catcher captures them, forming oil molecule clusters and quickly rising. The rising oil droplets are then aggregated at the top of the oil-water separator through the tiny oil droplet agglomeration unit.

3. The extracted oil flows out through the oil outlet valve at the top.

When the water level reaches the high point, the moisture sensor detects moisture, and the drainage solenoid valve opens to expel the moisture from the separator.

5. In cases where water requires deep treatment to meet national emission standards, the water separated by the oil-water separator is then fed into a water purification filter for further purification processing.

6. The water purifier is equipped with modified fiber materials that can remove residual oil droplets from the water and also eliminate suspended particles and fine impurities.

When the differential pressure in the water purifier becomes too high, an backwashing operation can be performed to rinse off the impurities and other substances absorbed by the fiber material, allowing for the reuse of the material.
