How is the manufacturing process for shelving racking?

The main body of storage racks is designed using a three-dimensional structure, typically comprising three main components: posts, beams, and shelf decks. Below is an introduction to the production process of storage racks:


The first step in the manufacturing of shelving racking is rolling. The primary role of rolling is to take a certain width of steel strip and, through molds, roll it into the desired shape and specified length, such as the columns and beams of storage racking. This is an essential step in the production of storage racking.


Next is positioning and punching. Storage racks are designed to meet actual requirements, positioning and punching the rolled materials at specific specifications, such as the inverted eight holes and diamond-shaped holes on heavy-duty storage racks, as well as round holes on cross-bracing.


Once again, bending is involved. For shelf storage racks with steel plates, bending treatment of the steel plates is necessary. The primary purpose is to effectively secure the steel plates onto the beams, and secondly, it can effectively enhance the load-bearing capacity of the steel plates.


Then comes the welding and sanding process. Once the materials for the storage racks are all prepared, welding is required on certain positions of the racks, such as the columns, base plates, beams, and grab handles. After the welding of the storage racks is completed, the weld points need to be sanded to not only enhance the aesthetic appeal of the racks but also improve their safety.


Once the overall framework structure is completed, the surface treatment of the storage racks follows. This includes processes such as acid pickling, phosphating, electrostatic painting, and curing at a constant temperature. Surface treatment is a crucial step for storage racks, as it not only enhances their appearance but also improves their moisture and corrosion resistance, thereby extending the overall lifespan of the storage racks!
