The application of thin film switches in modern electronic products is expanding widely, from household appliances to industrial equipment, machinery, instruments, and meters. There is a growing number of customers requiring professionally customized thin film panels. Due to the characteristics of thin film switches, such as the necessity for a single-time adhesive application and the inability to bend or repress, especially those with built-in metal springs, the quality of the thin film panels and switches directly depends on the adhesive application level and technique. What are the steps and precautions for adhering the back adhesive of thin film switches?

Film switches are typically a thin, elastic stainless steel sheet that is separated from the underlying electrode (circuit board copper foil or other metal sheet) by an insulating film. When the film switch is pressed, the stainless steel sheet deforms downward to make contact with the electrode for electrical conductivity. Upon releasing the hand, the stainless steel sheet bounces back, breaking the circuit. Film switch application steps:

Ensure the surface of the clean film switch is to be adhered to is flat, free of rust, oil, and dust.

2. Compare sizes (place the membrane switch on the intended粘贴 spot to ensure it fits perfectly in size and position).

Remove approximately 10mm from the edge of the centrifugal paper at the bottom of the film switch.

4. Place the membrane switch in the corresponding position, pressing down a portion of it, then slowly peel off the remaining centrifugal paper (at an angle not exceeding 15 degrees), and then sequentially apply it to the corresponding positions.

5. During the application process, if the film switch on the back of the centrifugal paper is peeled off, it should be placed face down to prevent sticking to other objects and affecting the application.

6. Important Notes: Do not repeat the粘贴 process; complete it in one go. The tear-off angle should not exceed 15 degrees. When testing by touch, ensure the film switch is flat on the table before pressing; do not press it while holding it in the air, as this may affect the lifespan of the film switch.
