Electrical Insulation Properties: Silicone rubber boasts a high resistivity and maintains stable resistance over a wide temperature and frequency range. Additionally, it exhibits excellent resistance to high-voltage corona discharge and arc discharge, making it suitable for applications such as high-voltage insulators, TV high-voltage caps, and electrical components.

Low-temperature resistance: The critical operating temperature for ordinary rubber is typically between -20°C to -30°C, whereas silicone rubber maintains good elasticity down to -60°C to -70°C. Certain specially formulated silicone rubbers can withstand even lower temperatures, such as low-temperature seals.

Conductivity: When conductive fillers (such as carbon black) are added, silicone rubber exhibits excellent electrical conductivity, suitable for applications like keyboard conductive contact points, electrical heating element components, antistatic parts, and shielding for high-voltage cables.

Vulnerability to Oxidation: Normal rubber degrades rapidly under the action of ozone produced by corona discharge, whereas silicone rubber remains unaffected by ozone. Additionally, its physical properties experience only minor changes over extended periods under UV light and other climatic conditions, such as outdoor sealing materials.

Thermal Conductivity: When certain thermal conductive fillers are added, silicone rubber exhibits excellent thermal conductivity, such as in heat sinks, thermal sealing pads, copier, and fax machine thermal rollers.

Radiation Resistance: The radiation resistance of silicone rubber containing phenyl groups has been significantly improved, such as for electrical insulating cables and connectors used in nuclear power plants.
