Laser welding machines are widely used in the automotive, electronics, and powder metallurgy industries due to their high level of automation in welding technology. These fields are relatively high in operational requirements. With such high standards, it means not everyone can operate and utilize laser welding machines effectively. So, how can we operate laser welding machines better? Below are the operation precautions for laser welding machines:
Pre-startup inspection
To ensure the laser welding machine operates normally, it is essential to inspect components in the optical path, such as the YAG rod, medium film sheet, and lens protective glass, before turning it on after two weeks of continuous operation or after a period of disuse. Confirm that there is no dust contamination or mold on the optical components. If any of these issues are found, they should be addressed promptly to prevent damage to the components under intense laser exposure.
Check for the appearance of "condensation" phenomenon.
Under higher temperatures or more humid conditions, operators of laser welding machines should continuously monitor the cooling water circulation pipes or the laser focusing cavity for any signs of "condensation" caused by low water temperature. The presence of condensation can damage the YAG crystal end face, leading to a decrease in output power and even the inability to emit light. Caution must be exercised during use.
Check the output spot
Operators can regularly inspect the output laser spot of the laser welding machine with black paper. Should they notice an uneven spot or a decrease in energy, they should promptly adjust the resonant cavity to ensure the quality of the laser beam output.
Four: Check the purity of the cooling water
The purity of the cooling water is crucial for ensuring the efficiency of the laser torch output and the lifespan of the laser focus cavity components. It is necessary to check the electrical conductivity of the internal recirculating water weekly and replace the deionized water monthly. Always monitor the color changes in the ion exchange column of the cooling system. If the resin in the exchange column turns deep brown or even black, replace the resin immediately.
Any machine operation becomes a skill with practice. During the use of our laser welding machines, as long as we master the precautions to be noted, I believe everyone can apply the laser welding machines more quickly and better immerse themselves in their work.
