What causes unclear marking when laser marking machines are in use? An analysis follows:
Check if the software parameter settings are normal. Are the power parameters adjusted within the range of previously produced models, and is the frequency adjusted too high? If the parameters are not adjusted correctly, you can adjust them.
2. If parameters are normal, please check if the laser power supply is functioning properly. The laser marking machine power supply for factory equipment is typically a 24V power supply. Use a multimeter to check if the laser power supply's DC output is normal. If it's not within the normal range, please replace the 24V power supply.
3. The laser output spot is obscured, meaning the laser beam, after passing through the scanner and field lens, has an incomplete, irregular shape. The laser output head, fixing fixture, and scanner were not properly adjusted, causing some of the spots to be obscured as the laser passes through the head. After focusing through the field lens, the spot on the frequency-doubling crystal appears non-circular, which could also lead to uneven marking effects. The machine table is not level, meaning the scanner lens or field lens lens is not parallel to the processing table surface.
Due to the lens axis or field lens lens not being parallel to the machining table surface, the distance at which the laser beam reaches the workpiece after passing through the field lens will vary. This results in inconsistent energy density of the laser energy deposited on the workpiece, causing the marking to appear uneven on the material.
5. Verify if there are any issues with the galvanometer signal or if the galvanometer is experiencing external interference. The impact process is as follows: During the encoding process, the galvanometer appears to slightly sway, resulting in unclear printed text or patterns.
6. The laser beam integrating lens was damaged and contaminated. As is well-known, laser encoders only have three types of beam integrating lenses. One is the beam expander, another is the field lens, and the third is the galvanometer lens. Any of these three lenses can cause issues. The spot directly guiding the laser is becoming weaker, resulting in unclear characters from the laser marking machine.
7. Due to the inherent nature of the material, factors such as uniformity, texture uniformity, and coating thickness uniformity can affect the material's absorption of laser energy. When the material is not uniform, the laser marking effect may also be uneven.
