The performance of forklift batteries (hereinafter referred to as batteries) directly impacts the operation of electric forklifts. It is essential to conduct daily inspections and maintenance on the batteries in strict accordance with regulations.

One. Daily maintenance.
Battery should be recharged immediately after each discharge.
Each discharge must not exceed 80% of the battery's total capacity.
Weekly maintenance
Check if the cable screws between battery cells are securely fastened.
If the battery is not equipped with an automatic topping-up system, after charging, check the level of the electrolyte. Add distilled water to the specified level if it's below the permitted level (isolation plate height or specified height); if it's above the permitted level, remove the excess to the specified level.
Inspect the battery box for any water accumulation; if found, dry it immediately.
Monthly Maintenance
Before charging is complete, inspect all electrode units and record the battery voltage.
After charging is complete, measure and record the electrolyte density and temperature of each battery cell. If there is a significant difference from previous readings, consult a professional for inspection.
Annual Maintenance
Each forklift's insulation resistance and battery insulation resistance are inspected annually by professional personnel.
Perform a check of the charger according to the manual to ensure all functions are operating normally.
V. General Precautions
Battery terminals should be kept clean and dry to prevent the generation of leakage current.
If there is any liquid in the battery box, it must be immediately suctioned out with a straw.
If the interior and exterior paint on the battery is damaged, it should be repaired immediately to protect the outer casing from insulation issues and corrosion.
If a battery cell requires replacement, it should be handled by a professional.
Six. Storage of Batteries.
Battery storage should be kept in a dry, frost-free location.
If batteries are to be stored for an extended period, they should be topped up with a compensating charge once a month.
Please note that extended storage can affect the overall battery lifespan.
