Fleece fabric is a fluffy, silky texture with excellent warmth retention, commonly used on the exterior of plush toys, as well as the interior of blankets or clothing. Nowadays, many fleeces are being applied to the uppers of casual shoes. Not only is fleece visually appealing, but it also offers great warmth. With so many advantages bundled into one, we must also pay close attention to its washing care.
Care Instructions for Flannel Fabric:
The plush cotton velvet fabric is not alkaline-resistant. Therefore, when washing, it's essential to control the detergent used, and it's preferable to opt for neutral detergents or use a detergent specifically formulated for plush cotton velvet.
We must pay close attention to the temperature during fabric washing, as excessive heat can cause shrinkage and damage the fibers within the fabric. Therefore, the editor's suggestion is to use water at approximately 40 degrees Celsius.
3. While washing, we recommend that you opt for hand washing rather than machine washing or using a brush to scrub. Doing so can lead to post-wash shedding.
4. Use compression washing, do not wring, and should be laid flat to dry in the shade, or semi-shade. Never expose to direct sunlight for drying.
5. When the fabric is damp and being handled, it's best to keep it lying flat. This prevents wrinkles and enhances the viewing experience.
6. For jackets or suits, I recommend taking them to a professional dry cleaner.
7. If machine washing is absolutely necessary, opt for a drum washing machine and avoid a top-loading model. It's recommended to use a delicate cycle for the wash.
Do not use a washboard for washing.
When storing fabric, we should opt for a dry location, place some mothballs, and wrap it in plastic. This method ensures better protection against issues like moth infestation.
If the garment is made entirely of wool or a blend of wool with other fibers, we recommend taking it directly to the dry cleaner for dry cleaning.
