Calibrating level switches is necessary to ensure their reliability and accuracy. Incorrect calibration can lead to faulty results or even damage the switch. The following discusses the steps involved in level switch calibration.
Fill the process into the chamber until the level change marker.
2. The liquid level switch contacts must be adjusted.
For safety reasons, the level switch must be disconnected or depressurized.
Connect the pressure calibrator to the input terminal of the switch.
5. Connect devices to calculate the output conditions of the switches.
6. Gradually move the liquid pressure past the operating point until the switch's output toggles and record the operating pressure.
7. Gradually move the pressure towards the return point until the switch position changes and record the return pressure.
8. Repeat these steps if necessary, and then disassemble the testing equipment.
9. Restore the level switch to operational status.
