The working principle of a PE coating machine is to extrude plastic particles through a screw plasticizer and then out in a linear shape through a flat die, which is then stretched and adhered to the surface of flexible substrates such as paper, film, non-woven, and woven fabrics. After cooling and shaping, these materials are pressed together to form a composite material that combines the barrier and heat-seal properties of the plastic film layer with the strength and functional characteristics of the substrate. Now, do you know what maintenance and care are required for a PE coating machine?
Cleaning: After shutdown, the metering section should be cleaned immediately, such as packaging for sugar, Isatis root syrup, salt, etc. Ensure the hopper and turntable are cleaned at the end of each shift to prevent corrosion. Materials scattered on the material tray should be cleaned promptly, and parts should be kept clean.
For heat-seal chambers, regular cleaning is necessary to maintain clear sealing textures. The photoelectric tracking light source (electric eye) should also be cleaned on a schedule to ensure minimal tracking errors. Dust inside the electrical control box should be cleaned regularly to prevent malfunctions such as poor contact.
Lubrication: Any oiling points on machinery must be kept clean, and lubrication of sliding parts such as guides, linear bearings, ball screws, etc., should be done regularly.
Inspection: Regularly check the bolts on all parts of the coating machine to prevent loosening. Pay attention to the waterproofing, moisture-proofing, anti-corrosion, and rodent-proofing of the electrical components. Keep the electrical box and terminal blocks clean to prevent electrical failures. When shutting down, ensure the two heat-sealing rollers are in the open position to avoid burning the packaging materials. Clean the dust inside the electrical box regularly to prevent poor contact and other issues.
Proper Procedures: Do not wear conductive jewelry before performing maintenance, to prevent accidental injuries; also, shut off the main power to avoid the risk of electric leakage, and do not disassemble any parts of the coater at will to prevent damage to the machine.
