What are the configurations of blow molding machines? Common key configurations include: control system, hydraulic system, mold head system, and clamping system, etc.
Screw: Plastic blow molding machines come with single, double, and multi-screw options. The screw model for the blow molding machine is selected based on the producer's production conditions. The screws are powered by an electric motor and controlled by a variable frequency drive for speed regulation. The extruder barrel of the screw features a heating coil for melting plastic. Different plastic materials require different temperature display functions. If the temperature is too high, the screw will automatically stop working. Conversely, if the screw temperature is too low, the motor will not operate.
2. Mold Heads: Blow molding machines come with either continuous or storage mold heads. Users can choose between the two based on their production status. The mold heads extrude uniform hollow billet shapes, with a wall thickness controller ensuring even extrusion of each layer of the billet. The entire billet thickness is controlled by a hydraulic valve. By controlling the up-down proportional movement of the servo valve, the mold opening size is controlled, thereby regulating the wall thickness.
3. Molding: Blow molding molds are typically composed of two halves. During operation, the two halves are merged together, the mold is clamped in the middle, and then the molding process is initiated. The general sequence of operations includes: mold removal, membrane closure, mold closure, pressure application, needle insertion, blowing air, exhaust, pressure release, mold opening, and mold removal, etc.
4. Hydraulic Systems: Some blow molding machines utilize two hydraulic pumps—one for controlling the mold head and wall thickness with servo hydraulic, and the other for moving the mold and sealing the membrane. The hydraulic system consists of solenoid valves, hydraulic cylinders, and various connecting mechanisms. It is complex and intricate. The hydraulic system will be equipped with sensors that can automatically detect excessive temperatures, insufficient temperatures, or over/under pressure.
5. Extrusion System: Features a hard tooth surface reducer and a Mitsubishi variable frequency inverter, equipped with a variable speed screw for low noise and powerful performance. The blow molding machine maintains stable rotation, energy-efficient, and saves electricity. It is adaptable to a wider range of raw materials, improves plasticization quality, and extends the service life of the blow molding machine.
