I. Working Principle
The V-cone flow meter, like other differential pressure gauges, calculates the flow rate of fluids based on the principle of continuity and Bernoulli's equation. We know that within a closed pipe, as pressure decreases, velocity increases. As the medium approaches the cone, its pressure is P1. When the medium passes through the constricted area of the cone, its velocity increases and pressure drops to P2. As shown in the figure, both P1 and P2 are led to the differential pressure transmitter through pressure taps. As the flow velocity changes, the differential pressure value increases or decreases accordingly. That is, for a stable fluid, the size of the flow is proportional to the square root of the differential pressure. When the flow velocity is the same, the larger the conical throttle area, the greater the differential pressure value produced.

III. Product Features
1. Ideal for measuring media with high viscosity, low Reynolds number, and containing suspended particles or bubbles.
2. The long-term pressure loss is less than that of the orifice plate.
3. The wedge-shaped component features a unique structural design with a guiding flow function, preventing clogging.
4. Features compensation for fluid viscosity changes, temperature changes, and density changes.
5. Vibration-resistant, shock-resistant, dirt-resistant, and corrosion-resistant.
6. Features bidirectional flow measurement capability;
7. High repeatability and measurement accuracy; each unit is water-calibrated before shipment, achieving an accuracy of ±0.5% (uncalibrated units can also reach ±3%).
8. The wedge flow meter features a simple, sturdy structure with high reliability, easy installation, and low operation and maintenance costs.
9. No moving parts, wear-resistant; no need for recalibration after long-term use.
10. Capable of measuring corrosive media; since the differential pressure measurement utilizes a diaphragm-type double-flange differential pressure transmitter, the corrosive media cannot enter the pressure line and the differential pressure transmitter. Therefore, by machining the wedge-shaped throttle piece with corrosion-resistant materials, the instrument can ensure accurate measurement of the corrosive media.
