Yamaha Feeder for Pick & Place Machines: Daily Inspection and Maintenance

Objective: To ensure the safe and long-term use of the belt feeder, regular inspections and maintenance are essential.

1. Routine inspections
Before operating the belt feeder, please inspect the following items.

2 Cleaning Tracks with Belt Guides
If electronic components or other debris fall into the gap between the tape guide and the plate, it can cause the tape guide to loosen, the component feed opening to deform, leading to component attraction issues.
Please refer to the location offset. When similar phenomena occur, please follow the steps below for cleaning.
Step 1: Remove the tape guide rail.
Please loosen the screws securing the guide rail shaft at the top, then remove the guide rail and the shaft. Use a screwdriver to turn the guide rail shaft for easier removal.

Step 2: Cleaning Operation
Please use a brush to remove debris from the guide rail and plate.

Step 3: Confirm the operational status of the component transfer port.
Confirm that the component feed port is operating correctly. If it becomes jammed or sluggish, please promptly replace the new material tape guide.

Step 4: Install the material belt guide rail.
Install the guide rail and guide rail shaft in reverse order on the plate. Use a flat-head screwdriver to turn the guide rail shaft 180 degrees counterclockwise, and apply force to the guide rail.
Add tension. Maintain this position and tighten the fixed screws of the material belt guide shaft. Subsequently, ensure there are no gaps between the material belt guide and the plate.
