The principles of parking a semi-trailer in a square and side position:
1. Semi-trailers parked side by side
Confirm the distance to the adjacent vehicle is approximately 1 meter, ensure the rear is safe, then back up straight. Stop reversing when the rear bumpers are in line.
Turn right at the wheel and reverse into the target position.
When the vehicle is stationary, turn the steering wheel all the way to the right; gently release the brake pedal, and use the semi-trailer's creep function for reversing. Stop when the left side of the vehicle reaches the extension line of point A.
Turn the steering wheel to the left, align the tires straight, and then reverse.
When the vehicle is stationary, turn the steering wheel to realign the tires; gently reverse in a straight line, and stop reversing when the left rear wheel reaches the white line outside the parking space.
4. Pull the vehicle to the right.
Steer the semi-truck's steering wheel all the way to the left and back up slowly; before the vehicle is parallel with the shoulder, turn the wheel to straighten it out and park the truck parallel to the shoulder. Be cautious not to collide with the vehicle behind. It's crucial to be careful when parking large vehicles like semi-trucks, as they are more prone to minor scratches and collisions.
